Galip Tekin was born on April 20, 1958 and died on July 6, 2017.

He was a Turkish comic book artist, cartoonist and screenwriter.

He was known for his works in fantasy and science genres.

Tekin style was often compared to that of Jean “Mœbius” Giraud.

Tekin began his comics career in Gırgır magazine in 1978.

The following year, Tekin dropped out of Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts to pursue a career in Gırgır.

In 1980s, Tekin published comics and comic strips in Gırgır and Fırt, as well as in Günaydın newspaper.

During May 1989, Tekin became the chief editor of the newly founded Dıgıl magazine.

Galip Tekin passed away at 59 years old.
