Gabriel Chiramel, Indian Roman Catholic priest, educationist, zoologist and author, Died at 102

Gabriel Chiramel was born on December 11, 1914, in Manalur, Kingdom of Cochin and died on May 11, 2017.

He was an Indian Roman Catholic priest, educationist, zoologist, author and social reformer.

He was known for his services in the fields of education, health and human welfare.

Chiramel was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2007 by the Government of India for his contribution to education and literature.

He died at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences campus where he was staying towards the later part of his life.

Gabriel Chiramel passed away at 102 years.
