Fred Robert Weintraub was born on April 27, 1928, and died on March 5, 2017.

He was an American film and television producer.

He was the original owner and host of The Bitter End in New York City’s Greenwich Village.

His discovered acts as Peter, Paul and Mary, Lenny Bruce (with whom he was arrested for obscenity), Randy Newman and The Isley Brothers.

During 2011, he published his memoir, “Bruce Lee, Woodstock and Me,” along with collaborator David Fields, exploring his trials and tribulations throughout his fifty-year long journey in the entertainment industry.

Fred Weintraub passed away at 88 years old.
