Fred Hayman/Fred Jules Pollag was born on May 29, 1925, and died on April 14, 2016.

He was a Swiss-born American fashion retailer and entrepreneur.

Hayman founded the company in 1961 of Giorgio Beverly Hills, in Beverly Hills, California.

Fred was also known as “Mr. Beverly Hills” and “Mr. Rodeo Drive”.

Since the 1960s, Fred Hayman was the manager of the Beverly Hilton hotel.

There, he met Gale, who was working there as a cocktail waitress, and was also a divorcee.

The cocktail waitress was arrested for working underage; Hayman provided bail and they married a year later, at that time he was 16 yrs older than her.

Fred Hayman was honored with a plaque on the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style, in 2011.

In that same year, Rose Apodaca published a biography of Hayman, Fred Hayman—The Extraordinary Difference.

He aslo donated to the Beverly Hills 9/11 Memorial Garden.

Also with his wife, he has donated to the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills.

His first three marriages ended in divorce.

Fred left behind his wife, Betty Endo; two sons, Charles and Robert; a daughter, Nicole Hayman; and 10 grandchildren.

Fred Hayman passed away at 90 yrs old.
