Ferenc Juhasz was born on August 16, 1928, and died on December 2, 2015.

He was a Hungarian poet and a Golden Wreath laureate (1992).

Ferenc was considered a close contender for the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1976.

He published his first poem in 1946.

In 1949, Ferenc published his first book of poems, The Winged Foal.

His poems, including The boy changed into a stag clamours at the gate of secrets, have been widely translated.

Ferenc Juhász passed away at age 87 in December 2015.
