Faisal Arefin Dipan died on October 31, 2015, he was known as a Bangladeshi publisher and blogger.

Faisal studied economics at Dhaka University.

He was working with the slain writer and blogger Avijit Roy, who was murdered in the country’s capital Dhaka.

The publisher of secular books has been hacked to death in the Bangladeshi capital, police have said.

In a separate attack in Dhaka, police said two other writers and a publisher were stabbed and shot at a publishing house.

There were 3 other recent killings in the same way, these killings come against the backdrop of growing fundamentalist violence in the country, where four secular-minded writers and bloggers have been murdered since February.

Faisal was the only son of well-known writer and professor of Dhaka University’s Bengali department Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque.

The book called ‘Jagriti Prokashony’ had published Avijit Roy’s popular title ‘Biswaser Virus’ (Virus of Faith).

The book titled Jagriti Prokashony was a hit with rationalists and freethinkers, but it had upset the Islamist radicals, who are suspected to be involved in his murder.

Faisal Arefin Dipan passed away at age 43 after he was murdered in his office.

There are serious speculations that Dipan was killed for publishing Avijit’s books.

He left his wife and two kids behind.
