Eva Schorr/Eva Weiler was born on September 28, 1927, in Crailsheim, Württemberg and died on January 26, 2016.
She was a German painter and composer.
Schorr father was a music and art teacher and gave her lessons in both.
At only 8 yrs old, Eva started composing, and at the age fifteen, she was winning prizes for composition and organ.
Miss Weiler studied music in Stuttgart with Johann Nepomuk David and Anton Nowakowski.
Miss Schorr also studied with Olivier Messiaen in Darmstadt.
Her husband was Dieter Schorr, music editor of the Stuttgarter Nachrichten and has two sons and a daughter.
Her honors and awards include; Prizes for four International Competitions in Buenos Aires, Prize Composition Competition in Mannheim, and 1961 GEDOK Prize.
Some of Eva’s work include; Septuarchie violin concerto, Pas de Trois, Kyrie choral, Psalm 98 for organ, and many other.
Eva Schorr passed away at 88 yrs old.
