Erling Ree-Pedersen was born on April 6, 1922, in Stavanger, and died on August 5, 2016.

He was a Norwegian civil servant.

He moved to Moss during the Second World War. He became involved in the illegal newspaper Norges demring and joined Milorg.

During 1999 he co-edited the book Motstandskamp og dagligliv i Mossedistriktet under krigen, a local World War II history.

Following 1945, Erling Ree-Pedersen worked as subeditor in Moss Avis and in private enterprise, among other things.

Erling served as director of the Norwegian Tax Administration (Tax Director)(1976 to 1982).

Pedersen was also a board member of the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

Erling Ree-Pedersen passed away at 94 years old.
