Mary Boone, born on January 5, 1924 and died September 8, 2015, known by her screen name Erlinda Cortes, she was a Filipina actress after World War II who later became the favorite leading lady of postwar actor Angelus.

Before moving to Vermont, Mrs. Brobston lived for many years in DeLand with her beloved husband of 31 years, Bill Brobston.

She was born Mary Boone in 1924 in San Pablo, Philippines.

Mrs. Brobston sang to the troops during World War II, and then became an actress, starring in more than 20 Philippine films, and taking the name Erlinda Cortes.
In 1953, she moved to New York, where she made several appearances on television before becoming involved in theater.

Mrs. Brobston was assistant to the producer of the hit 1970s musical The Me Nobody Knows.

Later in her career, she became an office manager at the Interpublic Group of Companies, where she remained until retirement.

In addition to Bill Brobston, she is survived by her daughters, Alexandra Hammett and Minda Zetlin; her stepson, Bill Brobston Jr.; and her stepdaughters, Catherine Payne, Sarah Meyers and Mary Gallaher, along with their families.

Erlinda Cortes died at age 91 on September 8, 2015.
