English zoologist and broadcaster, Aubrey Manning, Died at 88

Aubrey William George Manning was born on April 24, 1930, in Chiswick and died on October 20, 2018.

He was an English zoologist and broadcaster.

At a youthful age, Aubrey moved with his family to Englefield Green in Surrey when the Second World War broke out.

Aubrey William George Manning was instructed at Strode’s Grammar School in Egham, at University College London, where he read zoology, and afterward at Merton College, Oxford, where he finished his DPhil under Niko Tinbergen.

After National Service, he joined the University of Edinburgh as a collaborator teacher.

His principal research and encouraging interests were on creature conduct, improvement, and advancement.

Aubrey was Professor of Natural History at the college from 1973– 97.

During December 1997, an exhibition in the Natural History Collection of Edinburgh University was named in his respect on his retirement.

Aubrey Manning passed away at 88 years old.
