Kieron John Durkan was born on 1 December 1973 in Chester, Cheshire, England and died on 28 February 2018.

He was a professional footballer who played as a midfielder.

He made over 250 appearances in the Football League, between 1992 and 2004.

Durkan represented the Republic of Ireland at youth international level.

Durkan played professionally for Wrexham, Stockport County, Macclesfield Town, York City, Rochdale and Swansea City.

Later, Durkan played non-League football for Caernarfon Town, Runcorn FC Halton, Leek Town and Cefn Druids.

Durkan earned five caps for the Republic of Ireland national under-21 team.

He died on 28 February 2018

He died at 44 years old.
