Helen Elizabeth Garrett, widely known as Elizabeth Garrett or Beth Garrett, was born on June 30, 1963, in Oklahoma City, and died on March 6, 2016.

She was an American professor of law and academic administrator.

She left behind her husband, Andrei Marmor, a professor of law and philosophy at Cornell; her parents, Robert and Jane Garrett; and a sister, Laura Gruntmeir.

Helen also had a home in Ithaca, N.Y.

Helen became Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Southern California, in 2010.

Helen became the 13th president of Cornell University, on July 1, 2015.

Elizabeth Garrett passed away at 52 yrs old.
