Elena Arnedo was born on November 25, 1941, in Madrid and died September 7, 2015.

He was a Spanish gynaecologist, writer, and women’s rights activist.

Elena was the daughter of Elena Soriano, who was a feminist writer.

She attended University of Strasbourg.

Elena studied gynaecologist and breast pathology.

She wrote several books, she was a pioneer in reproductive rights, including Testamento materno, which dealt with the drugs in connection with the death of a son.

Elena edited the Spanish version of the book El gran libro de la mujer (The Big Book of Women.

She was a critic of a drug industry that was very successful, illusion of eternal youth.

In 2003, Elena was elected a city Councillor for Madrid on the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party ticket.

Elena husband was economist Miguel Boyer in 1964, they had two children.

She got divorced and remarry in 1985, to academic Fernando TerĂ¡n Troyano.

Elena Arnedo passed away at 74 years old on September 7, 2015, due to cancer, after her 8 year battle.
