Ekrem Jevrić was born on October 25, 1961, and died on March 4, 2016.

He was a well known Montenegrin and American singer and musician based in Yonkers, New York.

Ekrem Jevrić YouTube video “Kuća pos’o” (House – Work) earned him instant popularity across former Yugoslavia, due to its perception as camp aesthetic.

The internet made him phenomenon who was noted by BBC and The Independent.

Ekrem Jevrić started smoking at age fourteen and his father refused to buy him cigarettes, so he went to Podgorica alone to earn money.

He went to work in Slovenia, after that.

During 1985, Ekrem married Igbala Jevrić.

Ekrem Jevrić relocated to Canada in 1988, and soon after to the United States.

They had four sons: Enis, Verdin, Hajrudin and Berat.

Ekrem Jevrić most famous song was “Kuća posô” (Home, work or From home to work), which achieved instant success on YouTube, reaching over 13 million views (2 million in first month).

Ekrem Jevrić recorded his first album, titled Kuća posô in March 2010 He did a photo shoot for Dolce & Gabbana Winter 2011 Collection, positing as an Italian tailor.

Ekrem Jevrić passed away at 54 yrs old, due to a heart attack.
