Dead, Edward Ted Campbell was born in September 1943 and died on the 27th of July 2015 at the age of 71.
He was born in Wakefield and was a professional rugby league footballer of the 1960s and 1970s, playing at club level for Wakefield Trinity (twice) (Heritage #680), and York, as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums, he died in Royston, South Yorkshire.
Ted Campbell played Right-Prop, i.e. number 10, in Wakefield Trinity’s 21-9 victory over St. Helens in the Championship final replay during the 1966–67 season at Station Road, Swinton on Wednesday 10 May 1967.
Ted Campbell played Left-Prop, i.e. number 8, in Wakefield Trinity’s 18-2 victory over Leeds in the 1964 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1964–65 season at Fartown Ground, Huddersfield on Saturday 31 October 1964.
Ted Campbell’s funeral takes place at 12.10pm on Thursday 6 August 2015 at Ardsley Crematorium, Doncaster Road, Barnsley.
