Edward Burnham was born on December 25, 1916, and died on June 30, 2015.

He was an English actor whose career spanned over 60 years.

Edward was best known for To Sir, with Love, in 1967, The Abominable Dr. Phibes in 1971 and 10 Rillington Place in 1971 and twice appearing in Doctor Who in The Invasion in 1968 and Robot (1974/5).

Burnham other television roles include Z-Cars, The Saint, The Avengers, The Troubleshooters, Special Branch, Crown Court, Thriller, Rumpole of the Bailey, Crossroads, Tales of the Unexpected, The Gentle Touch, All Creatures Great and Small, The Bill and Swiss Toni.

Flims Burnham has done includes, ‘When Eight Bells Toll’, in 1971, ‘Young Winston’ (1972), ‘The Hiding Place’ (1974), ‘Little Dorrit’ in 1988 and ‘Dark Obsession’ in 1989.

Edward was the second-oldest-living actor to have appeared in Doctor Who, behind centenarian Olaf Pooley.

Edward Burnham passed away at 98 yrs old.
