Edgardo Alboni, born in September. 11, 1919, and died on October 6, 2015, Edgardo was a partisan and political Italian.

Coming from a family of modest means, Edgardo was active in the Italian Resistance: he was the founder and commander of 174ª Brigade Garibaldi with the nom de guerre of “Captain Nemo”.

Later taken political activity in the ranks of the Italian Communist Party: he was a provincial councilor in Milan in the sixties; he was elected deputy for the first time in 1963, Edgardo held this position for two legislatures, dealing mainly with social and health problems.

Elected several times in the council of Lodi, Edgardo was mayor of the city of Lombardy from 1975 to 1980: during his tenure, he created a plan of urban renewal.

He was also commissioner of public instruction, planning and public works.

From 1981 to 2011 he chaired the section of Lodi of the ‘ National Association of Partisans Italy.

April 2005 – on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Italy from Nazi occupation – he published his autobiography entitled A life between dreams and reality.

Edgardo Alboni passed away on October 6, 2015.
