Eddie Applegate, American actor, Died at 81

Eddie Applegate was born on October 4, 1935, in Wyncote, Pennsylvania and died on October 17, 2016.
He was an American television actor.
Eddie was best known for his work in the 1960s, most notably in the role of Richard Harrison, the boyfriend of Patty Lane on The Patty Duke Show.
Applegate appeared as Richard Harrison on 70 episodes of the Patty Duke Show, which was broadcast on ABC from 1963-66.
During the 1960s, Eddie appeared as single episode characters in a number of other popular television shows, including The Lucy Show, Daktari, and Gunsmoke.
In the 1970 television season, Eddie appeared as Willie Maxwell, a reporter, on the relatively short-lived series Nancy.
He reprised the role of Richard Harrison in a Patty Duke Show reunion entitled The Patty Duke Show: Still Rockin’ in Brooklyn Heights in 1999.
During this show, Ediie appeared as the ex-husband of Patty Lane.
But in 1999, Eddie Applegate was featured on an episode of E! Entertainment Television’s Celebrity Profile, a show which tries the answer the “whatever happened to…” question about relatively well-known entertainment personalities of the past.
During the 2000s (decade), he has also appeared occasionally in minor movie roles, such as Exorcism (2003) and Welcome to September (2005).
Following his television career faded, Applegate became more involved with painting, a hobby that he took up to relax during the time he was working regularly on television shows.
Eddie describes himself as a “Realist to Impressionist painter”
His was named Betty, together they lived in Chatsworth, California.
Eddie Applegate passed away at 81 years old.
