Earl E. Nelson, American politician, Died at 79

Earl E. Nelson was born on August 29, 1937,in Emerson, Arkansas and died on November 1, 2016.
He was a Democratic member of both houses of the Michigan Legislature from 1971 through 1978.
He graduated from Michigan State University.
Earl taught in the Lansing schools and worked for the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
In 1970, Nelson won election to the Michigan House of Representatives.
After two terms, Nelson won election to the Senate.
He was the founder of the Earl Nelson Singers and was an ordained minister.
Nelson was also the Director of Equity for the Michigan Department of Education.
Earl E. Nelson passed away at 79 years old.
