Don Matthews, American-Canadian football coach, Died at 77

Don Matthews, a.k.a. “The Don”, was born on June 22, 1939, in Amesbury, Massachusetts and died on June 14, 2017.

He was a head coach of several teams in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Matthews won 231 games in the CFL, the second highest win total by a head coach in the league’s history.

Matthews was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in September 2011.

He died on Beaverton, Oregon.

Don Matthews passed away at 77 years old.
