DJ Official, American hip hop musician, Died at 39

Nelson J. Chu was born on September 16, 1976, and died on August 14, 2016.

His professional name was DJ Official.

He was an American Christian hip hop musician.

Dj Official was a member of the Christian hip hop collective 116 Clique.

He could ne called the mentee of Hip hop artist Cipha Sounds in the mid-1990s, when both got out of high school.

Nelson was a member in the Christian hip hop collective 116 Clique.

Chu released ‘Entermission’ on December 29, 2009.

Which allowed him to crack the Billboard charts with his first album.

However, the Cross Rhythms rated the album a nine out of ten, and Rapzilla said “With Entermission DJ Official did much more than cement his legacy as a producer.”

Dj Official was also apart of the American-based Christian Hip Hop rap group The Cross Movement and collaborated with many other Cross Movement Records artist such as, Da TRUTH and Flame to name a few.

Dj Official served (Cross Movement) faithfully as their DJ for 8 years in the mid 90s into early 00’s and has been a long time friend thereafter.

He had two girls with his wife Teresa Chu.

Dj Official passed away at 39 years old.
