Diego Rafecas was born on May 3, 1970, in Buenos Aires, Argentina and died on April 18, 2017.

Rafecas began studying acting with Cristina Banegas, a well-known Argentine actress, when he was 17.

Then, two years later, Rafecas debuted as an actor in a play One Aspect directed by Banegas and written by Griselda Gambaro.

Rafecas had obtained a BA in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires.

During the same time Diego also began to study the Zen practice with Stephane Kosen Thibaut, a Dharma heir of Japanese Master Deshimaru.
