Didier Bellens was born on June 9, 1955, and died on February 28, 2016.

He was a Belgian businessman.

Didier was the CEO of Belgacom, the leading telecommunications company in Belgium, until November 15, 2013.

He graduated in 1978 as a commercial engineer at the Solvay Business School of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Brussels).

He began his career in 1978 as an auditor at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.

Whilst he was at Deloitte, Didier was involve at the audits of the Belgian subsidiary of General Motors.

Didier became financial director of the Compagnie Brussel Lambert holding (GBL), in 1981.

Didier Bellens managed the investment portfolio and prospects potential investments.

Bellens became Deputy Manager of the Pargesa Holding in Geneva in 1985, where he was responsible for the management of holdings, mergers and acquisitions.

He manages the participations of the GBL group in the company.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of Belgacom ICS, the Telindus Group, Proximus, Scarlet SA, and Tango.

Didier Bellens was married and had two children.

Didier Bellens passed away at 60 yrs old.
