Diane Kay Runkis died after losing a battle with stage 4 cancer.

She passed away at 9:25 in the morning according to a Facebook update from her son Eugene. In another update a few days prior, he wrote:

“Just got back home from a 10 day trip to try to help my mom. her pneumonia has spread and chemo is not a option anymore.

after days in ICU the Dr’s said there was nothing further they could do to help her. I was told she was not strong enough to come to NC so she has been moved to a Hospice Facility.

Prayers for what days my mom has left, Thanks Gene!”
