Derrick Todd Lee, American convicted serial killer, Died at 47

  Criminal

Derrick Todd Lee was born on November 5, 1968, and died on January 21, 2016.

He was a convicted American serial killer.

He’s nicknamed the Baton Rouge Serial Killer.

Todd Lee was originally overlooked by officials because they believed the killer was white.

The serial killer was linked by DNA to the deaths of seven women in the Baton Rouge and Lafayette areas in Louisiana, and in 2004 was convicted, in separate trials, of the murders of Geralyn DeSoto and Charlotte Murray Pace.

His Pace trial resulted in a death sentence.

Reports from the news have suggested Lee can be linked to other unsolved murders in the area, but the police lacked DNA evidence to prove these connections.

Following his arrest, it was discovered that another serial killer, Sean Vincent Gillis, was operating in the Baton Rouge area during the same time as Lee.

Todd Lee died on January 21, 2016, of an undisclosed medical condition at the Louisiana State Penitentiary, while awaiting execution.

Derrick Todd Lee passed away at 47 yrs old.
