Delfim de Pádua Peixoto, politician and football executive, Died at 72

Delfim de Pádua Peixoto Filho, known as Delfim Peixoto was born on January 3, 1941, on November 29, 2016.
He was a Brazilian politician and football administrator.
Peixoto was born in Itajaí in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.
Peixoto studied law at the University of Santa Catarina’s law school.
As a student, Delfim Peixoto was active in student politics, serving as secretary of the Santa Catarina Union of Students and as a member of the National Union of Students.
He later lectured in criminal law and legal practice at the Universidade do Vale do Itajaí
He died as a result of the crash of LaMia Airlines Flight 2933.
Before his death, he was the vice president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and president of the Federação Catarinense de Futebol, a position he had held since 1985.
Delfim Peixoto passed away at 72 years old.
