David Charles Waddington, Baron Waddington, was born on August 2, 1929, and died on February 24, 2017.
He was a British politician.
He was a member of the Conservative Party, he served as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons from 1968 to 1974 and from 1979 to 1990, and was then made a life peer.
Waddington was the government Chief Whip from 1987-89.
He then served in the Cabinet as Home Secretary from 1989-90 and Leader of the House of Lords from 1990-92.
Then, he served as the Governor of Bermuda from 1992-97.
David Waddington passed away at 87 years old.
