David Stride, English footballer, Died at 58

David Stride was born on March 14, 1958, and died on in July 2016.

He was an English professional footballer.

David played in both England and the United States.

He started his career with Chelsea in 1978.

In that same year, David went on loan with the Memphis Rogues of the North American Soccer League.

During 1980, Chelsea sold Stride’s contract to the Rogues.

Memphis sent him to the Minnesota Kicks, during 1981.

During the fall of 81, stride signed with the Cleveland Force of the Major Indoor Soccer League.

During 1982, David moved to the Jacksonville Tea Men. Following the 1982 NASL season, Stride returned to England to play for Millwall and Leyton Orient.

Stride returned to the United States to play for the Dallas Sidekicks of Major Indoor Soccer League, in 1985.

David Stride co-managed Lymington Town alongside John Pyatt when the club competed in the Hampshire League, in 2000.

David Stride passed away at 58 years old.
