David Graham, American casting director, Died at 91

David Graham was born on January 6, 1924, and died on November 3, 2015.

He was a well known American casting director.

David was in the united Army Air Force.

After which he received his first role on an acting job in a summer stock production of “The Male Animal.

David first appeared on Broadway in a play produced by the renowned David Merrick, called “Bright Boy.

David was the understudy plus the office boy, the film was not successful.

After which David became assistant stage manager for the premiere Broadway engagement of modern dance, with legend Martha Graham.

David spent the next two years as editor of the weekly Theatrical Calendar.

After publishing by Celebrity Service followed, leading in turn to a position as Studio Supervisor for NBC Television.

David also edited a publication of Ross Reports on Television for two years.

He also produced a Carlo Goldoni play, “La Locandiera” (“The Mistress of the Inn”) for Equity Library Theatre.

David directed a three one-act plays by Paul Green under the collective title “Supper for the Dead” at the Theatre De Lys in Greenwich Village.

David played the role as casting director for 2 Broadway musicals, “The Liar, ” and “Seventh Heaven, ” the latter starring Gloria De Haven, Ricardo Montalban, Beatrice Arthur, Robert Clary, and Chita Rivera.

He was also an agent with Lyons & Lyons, Inc

David was the Governor of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

He was a member of the Association of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles

David Graham passed away at age 91 years old.
