Darryl Sutton was born on July 27, 1952, and died on January 28, 2017.

He was an Australian rules footballer.

Sutton played for North Melbourne, Richmond and Sydney in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

He was a utility player and was recruited to North Melbourne from Tasmania, a state he would later captain at State of Origin football.

Sutton debuted for North in 1973 but left the club after just one season, due to ill health, and returned to his TANFL club side Glenorchy.

Darryl Sutton passed away at 64 years old.
