Danish actor, Morten Grunwald, Died at 83

Walter Morten Grunwald was born on December 9, 1934, and died on November 14, 2018.

He was a Danish actor, stage director, and theatre manager.

He studied at the Odense Theatrical School in 1958 and moved on from the Royal Danish Theater’s Theatrical School in 1962.

Starting in 1971, Grunwald was the director of a few venues in Copenhagen.

Grunwald made his presentation in En blandt mange in 1961.

He played one of the lead jobs in the mainstream arrangement of Olsen Gang motion pictures, featuring as Benny Frandsen, close by Ove Sprogøe’s Egon Olsen and Poul Bundgaard’s Kjeld Jensen.

Grunwald established and driven Bristol Teatret in Copenhagen from 1971 to 1980.

In 1979, Grunwald succeeded Bent Melding as chief of the Betty Nansen Theater, a post he held until 1992.

From 1977, together with Peder Sadolin, his accomplice from Bristol Teatret, Grunwald was additionally the main impetus behind the foundation of Østre Gasværk Teater in a surrendered gasometer.

Grunwald resigned on June 11, 2017, expressing his body was excessively old.

On October 16, 2018, the 83-year-old Grunwald educated Danish media that he had created thyroid malignant growth and that he just had months left to live.

In a matter of seconds prior, he had dropped an appearance at an occasion praising the 50th commemoration of the primary Olsen Gang film, referring to the ailment.

Morten Grunwald passed away at 83 years old.
