Dai Zijin, Chinese WWII aviator, Died at 101

Dai Zijin was born on March 26, 1916, in Shanghai and died on May 18, 2017.

He was a Chinese aviator.

Zijin survived the World War II as one of the few native Chinese aviators.

Zijin was in the Flying Tigers.

He hailed from a decent background, Dai spent his early life in Shanghai.

After the Second Sino-Japanese War escalated, he decided to enlist.

Later he studied as a cadet in the southwest of China since 1938.

He had been trained in the US and India successively by the American instructors, from 1942 to 1943, Dai became a qualified aviator.

Dai Zijin passed away at 101 years old.
