Cyril C. Perera was born on June 3, 1923, in Colombo and died on September 4, 2016.

He was a Sri Lankan author of Sinhala literature.

Perera was well known for his translations of world literature into Sinhalese.

Perera’s translations included novels, short stories, poems, stage plays, and children’s literature.

He attended various schools there.

Cyril C. Perera studied art, architecture, and building engineering at Colombo Technical College and later joined government service.

Perera worked as a building designer in the Ministry of Health.

Cyril C. Perera passed away at 93 years old.
