Craig Payne was born on May 22, 1961, and died on April 7, 2017.

He was an American former boxer.

Payne was best known for winning the ABA Championship (Amateur Boxing Association) in 2003.

He is a 1979 graduate of Chillicothe (Ohio) High School, won the National Golden Gloves in 1983 beating a young Mike Tyson.

He also defeated Cuban boxing legends Teofilo Stevenson and Félix Savón.

Craig Payne passed away at 55 years old.
