Conrad Hilberry was born in 1928 and died on January 11, 2017.

He was an American poet.

He went to Oberlin College for his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts and continued his studies with a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Hilberry was editor of the literary magazine Passages North and co-editor (with Michael Delp and Herbert Scott) of the anthology Contemporary Michigan Poetry: Poems from the Third Coast (1988).

Hilberry was a professor of English at Kalamazoo College from 1962 to 1998.

His literary works have been recognized and highlighted at Michigan State University in their Michigan Writers Series.

He was the author of nine books of poetry.

He also the author of Luke Karamazov (1987), a nonfiction first-person narrative of two sociopaths.

Conrad Hilberry passed away at 88 years old.
