Conrad Ray Burns was born on January 25, 1935, and died on April 28, 2016.
He was a United States Senator from Montana and later a lobbyist.
Burns was the second Republican to represent Montana in the Senate since the passage in 1913 of the Seventeenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and was the longest-serving Republican senator in Montana history.
During his time served in Senate, he sat on the Senate Appropriations Committee and was the chairman of its Subcommittee on the Interior.
Conrad was also chairman of the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee’s Communications subcommittee.
Conrad Burns passed away at 81 yrs old.
