Colleen Leigh Farrington was born on August 5, 1936, and passed away on October 12, 2015.

Colleen was an American model and nightclub singer.

She was the mother of Academy Award-nominated actress Diane Lane.

Colleen was also Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month for its October 1957 issue.

Farrington was born in Davisboro, Georgia, the daughter of Eleanor Briggs.

Before becoming a Playmate, Farrington was a fashion model in New York City and was a particular favourite of fashion designer Oleg Cassini.

She also had some acting roles.

Colleen eventually married acting coach Burt Lane, and divorced him in 1965, shortly after her daughter, Diane, was born.

She later settled in Georgia and married Lawrence Price.

Colleendied died at age 79 in October 2015.
