Cino Tortorella was born on June 27, 1927, in Ventimiglia, Italy and died on March 23, 2017.

He was a Italian television presenter.

Cino was best known for creating and conducting the Zecchino d’Oro festival of children’s songs.

He began his career in the 1950s with a comedy entitled Zurlì, mago Lipperlì (“Zurlì, the Magician of There”, 1956).

He was the voice of Topo Gigio, which made him a regular on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Cino Tortorella passed away at 89 years old.
