Christopher Tambling was born in 1964, and died on October 3, 2015 in Somerset.

He was a British composer, organist and choirmaster.

Christopher was the 1997-2015 music director at Downside School and organist and conductor of the Schola Cantorum at Downside Abbey.

He received his musical education in Sussex at St Peter’s College in Oxford.

Christopher later became the city organist and conductor of the Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of Glenalmond College in Perth.

His compositions are often characterized by a romantic, expressive and Leichtfass union style.

His main publishers were in England Kevin Mayhew and in German-speaking the music publisher Dr. J. Butz.

Christopher passed away at age 51 in October 2015.
