Christopher Patrick Kenny was born in 1938, and died on February 2, 2016.

He was an Irish-born New Zealand boxing coach.

Kenny was the coached for the New Zealand squads and teams to the Commonwealth and Olympics Games.

Chris also coached his son Michael Kenny, in which they won a gold medal at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.

Chris Kenny was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit, in the 2012 New Year Honours.

Kenny died at his home in Titahi Bay on 2 February 2016.

Chris Kenny passed away at 78 yrs old.
