Luis Enrique Gatica Silva, better known as Lucho Gatica was born on August 11, 1928, in Rancagua and died on November 13, 2018.

He was a Chilean bolero singer, film actor, and television host.

It is said that he released more than 90 recordings.

Lucho Gatica has toured a vast portion of the world, having performed in concerts in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Gatica is the uncle of the record producer Humberto Gatica.

His first record, 1951’s Me Importas Tú (You Matter to Me) turned into a uber hit crosswise over Latin America, opening numerous entryways for Gatica.
