Chi Po-lin, Taiwanese aerial photographer and director, Died at 52

Chi Po-lin was born on December 27, 1964 and died on June 10, 2017.

He was a Taiwanese documentary filmmaker, photographer and environmentalist.

Po-lin was best known for his 2013 film Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above, which won Best Documentary at the 2013 Golden Horse Awards.

Po-lin and his his assistant Chen Kuan-chi and pilot Chang Chi-kuang died in a helicopter crash in a mountainous area in Hualien County’s Fengbin Township.

Reportedly they were shooting footage for the sequel to Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above, which was scheduled for release in 2019.

Po-lin was married with a son and a daughter.

Chi Po-lin passed away at 52 years old.
