Cherussery Zainudheen Musliyar was born in 1937, in Kondotty, Morayur, Malappuram district, Kerala, India, and died on February 18, 2016, in Kozhikode.

He was a Sunni Muslim religious scholar from the Indian state of Kerala.

Musliyar was the General Secretary of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, the religious organisation of sunni Muslim scholars and clerics, which has the largest number of followers in Kerala and the Pro Chancellor of Darul Huda Islamic University.

Musliyar also known as the Shining Scholar (“Zain-ul Ulama”) by followers he was often regarded as the successor of E.K. Aboobacker Musliar, the former stalwart of the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama.

He was the son of Chershery Ahamed Musliyar.

The young scholar studied under his own father and OK Zainuddeen Musliyar, Othukkungal, Malappuram.

Cherussery Zainudheen Musliyar Worked as Mudarris (Religious Teacher) at Kodangad, Kondoty, Malappuram for eighteen years.

Following that Chemmad Juma Masjid as Mudarris for several years.

After he entered Darul Huda Islamic Academy as a Principal in 1994 and now there as Pro-chancellor till to this date.

Cherussery Zainudheen Musliyar was Qhatheeb (Juma pray Imam) at Qaziyarakam Juma masjid, Kondoty, Malappuram, Kerala.

Musliyar was the General secretary of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama the supreme council of Islamic Scholars in Kerala.

Cherussery served as the Pro-chancellor of Darul Huda Islamic University, Chemmad, Kerala, Malappuram also.

Cherussery was Quazi of hundreds of Mahalls in different parts of Kerala.

Musliyar mortal pausing was laid to rest in Darul Huda Islamic University campus.

Cherussery Zainudheen Musliyar passed away at 78 yrs old.
