Charles S. Hallac, died on September 9, 2015 from cancer.

He was the Co-President of BlackRock. He joined BlackRock at its inception in 1988.

Mr. Hallac has played various roles at BlackRock including the creation of the Aladdin system and was a co-founder of BlackRock Solutions which he ran until 2009.

He is Jewish and grew up in Manila, Philippines and graduated from the International School of Manila.

He graduated from Brandeis University.

He passed away on September 9, 2015 after succumbing to a 4 year battle with cancer.

His wife and their 3 children live in Scarsdale, NY.
