Chaïm Nissim, Israeli-born Swiss anti-nuclear activist and politician, Died at 68

Chaïm Nissim was born on November 21, 1949, in Jerusalem, Israel and died on April 11, 2017.

He was a Swiss activist, perpetrator of the rocket attack of 18 January 1982 on the Superphénix nuclear plant, and Green politician.

He came from family of a Jewish banker.

Nissim was raised and studied in Israel up to the age of 14, when his father was appointed director of an Israeli bank and his family relocated to Geneva, Switzerland.

Nissim received a degree in electronical and computer engineering at the EPFL in 1973.

He died in Switzerland due to assisted suicide.

Chaïm Nissim passed away at 68 years old.
