Wayne E. Maunder was born on December 19, 1937, and died on November 11, 2018.

He was a Canadian-born American actor.

Maunder starred in three American television series between 1967 and 1974.

From September 6 to December 27, 1967, Maunder featured as 28-year-old Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer (1839– 1876), amid the time that Custer was positioned in the American West.

The program, Custer, circulated on ABC at 7:30 Eastern on Wednesday, inverse NBC’s built up western, The Virginian featuring James Drury and Doug McClure.

The program finished after seventeen episodes.

His next arrangement was a second western, CBS’s Lancer, with co-stars Andrew Duggan, James Stacy, and Paul Brinegar.

Lancer kept running from 1968 to 1970, with an extra rebroadcast cycle in the late spring of 1971.

Maunder’s last ordinary arrangement, Chase, is a 21-scene dramatization around a covert police unit which disclosed on NBC amid the 1973-1974 TV season, co-featuring Mitchell Ryan as Chase Reddick and Reid Smith as officer Norm Hamilton.

Maunder assumed the job of police Sergeant Sam MacCray, one of whose obligations was to deal with the police hound named “Fluff”.

A Jack Webb generation, Chase was made by Stephen J. Cannell.

Wayne Maunder passed away at 80 years old.
