Calvin Amandus Neeman, born on February 18, 1929 and died October 1, 2015.

Calvin was an American professional baseball player, who played catcher in the Major Leagues from 1957 to 1963 for the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Indians and Washington Senators.

Calvin led all National League catchers in double plays and putouts as a Cubs rookie in 1957.

He was an alumnus of Illinois Wesleyan University, where he played both baseball and basketball.

Calvin was signed by Yankees scout Lou Maguolo.

Cal Neeman died on October 1, 2015, at his home in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. He was 86.
