British comedy writer and journalist, Neil Shand, Died at 84

Neil Hodgson Shand was born on March 3, 1934, and died in April 2018.

He was a British television comedy writer.

He was a journalist, working for the Daily Mail and Daily Express, before moving into comedy writing in the 1960s.

Shand worked with David Frost, Spike Milligan, the Two Ronnies, Mike Yarwood, Kelly Monteith, and Jasper Carrott (on Carrott Confidential), and was a member of BBC staff for many years.

He married Judith Keppel in 1985, the marriage ending in 1987.

Shand died in April 2018, at 84 years old.
