British boxer, Scott Westgarth, Died at 31

Scott Westgarth was born on 27 July 1986 and died on 25 February 2018.

He was a British light heavyweight boxer.

His last fight could be considered to be the most victorious of his career.

He took part in 10 matches in his whole professional career, ending with 7 victories and only 2 losses before his untimely death.

Westgarth fought in his final round on 24 February 2018 against Dec Spelman, the fight was a 10-round light heavyweight eliminator in Doncaster.

Westgarth defeated Dec Spelman in the elimination match, he wanted to win the English national championship.

During the final round of the fight against Dec Spelman, Westgarth was knocked down, but was able to recover to ultimately win on points.

He went on to conduct a post-match interview with consulting doctors in the dressing room. They sent him to hospital in an ambulance after concerns for his well-being.

It is speculated that Westgarth was in some discomfort during his final interview.

He is seen to hold his wrapped hand to his head above his left eye a number times before the interview ends.

He was rushed to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, however, he died on 25 February 2018, a day after having been injured.

He died due to the injuries after a victory in a 10-round light heavyweight bout during a Saturday night clash.

Scott Westgarth passed away at 31 years old.
