Brian Stuart Roberts was born on April 28, 1945, and died on August 6, 2016.

He was an Australian rules football player.

He played in the VFL between 1971 and 1975 for the Richmond Football Club (as well as a short stint with South Melbourne in 1975).

He was known as “The Whale” due to his enormous stature and played as a ruckman.

During the 1976 pre-season, Brian had a disagreement with coach Ian Stewart and walked out on South Melbourne.

Brian Roberts passed away at 71 years old.
